"flying Home": Opening Gala at Oregon Festival of American Music at The John G Shedd Institute for the Arts

For OFAM 2014's gala opener, Ken Peplowski and his jazz unit join Jesse Cloninger and the Emerald City Jazz Kings in an evening of big band swing loaded with classics from the 1940s including in particular the libraries of Count Basie, Woody Herman, Les Brown, Glenn Miller, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey, and Benny Goodman, with a solid mix of instrumentals and vocals, ensemble and solo improv!
